Tikhonov explained why a film about Rodin failed in Russia with a bang: “We will not even remember Gagarin even Gagarin”

The Soviet biathlonist, four -time Olympic champion Alexander Tikhonov explained why the Rodnina film, shot through the autobiography of the three -time Olympic figure skating champion Irina Rodnina, failed in Russia. Master of Rodnina took place on March 6. Last week, May 1, the Forpost portal released the material under a loud heading: “One and a half people per session: why the film“ Rodnina ”failed with a bang. The material notes that the Rodnina film with a budget of 425 million state rubles for incomplete two months with difficulty managed to earn 205 million rubles. At the same time, at the end of March it was reported that “Rodnina” was discovered “Fantastic Bloopers”: “In the anti -rating of films about sports, he will be in the top.” “I know that the film about Irina Rodnina was released, but, unfortunately, it was not possible to watch him,” said Tikhonov in an interview with the SPORT24 correspondent Vladislav Shapiro. – Irina invited me, but I was away. I live in Belarus, I often visit Russia, but it so happened that neither the film itself, nor even reviews, except for negative ones. And it’s a pity, because Rodnina is a symbol of not only ours, but all of the whole world sports.– Why, in your opinion, did not find a film?– Because we even forgot what a sports story is. After such works as “Legend No. 17”, “upward movement”, there were several more worthy films, but now … What do we have today? Yes, almost nothing. The worst thing is that we simply buried the legacy of Soviet and Russian sports. This can be seen everywhere – they don’t talk about it anywhere. I used to be often invited to programs, they called, remembered the great athletes with whom I performed. Now there is silence. No one remembers, and in the end – they forgot everyone. In the country, they erased the memory of Soviet and Russian champions! And I talked about it many times. Here, let's say, in Biathlon Dmitry Guberniev said: “Dima, remember how many victories there were!” We were the best in the world. Fourteen years have been out of competition when I was president of the Federation. But in our country they say that all these achievements are Fuflo. There is no such attitude to my legacy anywhere else. I traveled around the world – they are proud of their champions. And with us? At each athlete, in each hotel in Europe, photos of champions and winners are hanging. We do not have this. Our youth does not even know who Korolev is. Soon Gagarin will not remember. What then do they care about the Olympians, heroes of sports, front -line soldiers? Nobody remembers them! We all became Ivanes who did not remember kinship. See what is shown on television – continuous crime. A video about officials with tons of gold is walking on the Internet. What is Rodnina, what are you talking about? Who will watch it? Now the artists refuse to perform for free on Victory Day. Everything has turned upside down now. We buried the memory of the Great Patriotic War, of science, about sports. From the very top they say: patriotism must be educated. But patriotism is not a slogan, it should be the ideology of the state. While it is not, nothing will change. And films about Rodnina and other great champions will not watch. That's what we have lived!
