Battle Brothers is released for PlayStation and Xbox

Battle Brothers

“Lucas, how many times will you cover Battle Brothers on Hu3Br?” . As many times as it takes for you to decide to play this wonderful turn-based strategy/tactics game. After a PC version, an excellent port to the Switch version, the game now arrives on PlayStation 4/5 and Xbox One / Series S and X .

For those who don't know, Battle Brothers is about controlling a group of mercenaries who have to carry out contracts and stay alive in a world that doesn't care about you. Monsters are scarce and the theme is as “low-fantasy” as possible.

When you're not trying to manage finances and contracts, you're probably going to be fighting some of the toughest battles I can think of. Positioning, skill, attributes and quirks of your soldiers are counted when calculating accuracy and damage dealt. The density of this system is absurd, to the point where characters lose limbs during combat but still continue to fight.

Even though it was released in 2018, Battle Brothers remains one of my favorites in the genre and developer Overhype Studios, apparently, has no plans to stop with DLCs.

Speaking of DLCs, the console version of Battle Brothers can be purchased only with the original campaign from R$83.96 or with all DLCs for R$175.96. I recommend only picking up the original campaign if you're just starting out, as it's the “easiest” to understand. The DLCs add new origin stories that are geared towards those who already have a lot of experience in the game.
